For instance, Sandeep tried to switch by choosing paper straws as an alternative to plastic straws but in his experience, it wasn’t fruitful. The customers were not that happy with paper straws. Switching to other materials for Sandeep was a challenging affair as the straws were not readily available plus expensive.
To appreciate the local vendor’s effort to make this switch, our amazing team at One Bamboo India decided to support his initiative by providing him with bamboo straws. Bamboo straws are the best alternative in the straw category as they’re not as harmful as plastic straws and not as flimsy as paper straws, making them the best choice. 💚🌍

While supporting and buying coconut water from a local vendor, Manisha Pawar, one of our co-founders happened to strike up a conversation with her, where she mentioned her concern of waste being collected from plastic straws. 💚
